This year, too, the pandemic has affected many aspects of our lives, including the arrival of the Christmas holidays and the magical atmosphere associated with them. We can't meet each other and in the Old Market Hall we had to cancel Salónka just right before opening, the market for local art, design, books, and goodies, which we have been preparing for you almost all year.
We would like to at least somehow beautify this time before the holidays (and during them), so thanks to our main partner, Slovenská sporiteľňa, and in cooperation with the Biela Noc Festival, you will be able to enjoy a special Christmas light installation in the center of Bratislava.
The Old Market Hall building and the square in front of it will light up with a magical play of lights that will immerse you in a new visual landscape. The dialog of light points parasitizing on the building will create different light scenes. The line, as a basic element of architecture, is removed from the floor plan of the historic façade to its surface, where it changes its function through light pixels and gradually enters the square.
Enjoy a walk through the city, whether you go to work, home, or just to a store, and come and see. The light is a symbol of hope and a more beautiful future, we believe that next year things will return to normal and we will enjoy the common moments, not only before Christmas, fully, without restrictions, and especially in good health.
